Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde

Be careful what you wish for! This book outlines the naivety of youth and how you can be influenced by the people around you. We all choose our on paths and they are ours to take, the plot outlines the outcome of vanity and hedonism. When it comes down to it can you live your life full of lust, without hurting anyone its merely impossible but that what Dorian Gray choose and regretfully hated his soul depicted in a painting which is full of sin. This is a great book with a dark edge.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Ken Kesey

A Fantastic book where you really full in love with the charctetrs and see how brutal society can be in shaping you in to an ideal. Based in a mental Islam we meet the cheeky, charismatic Mc Murphy who fights the ward nurse Miss Randel who is obsessed with keeping her ward in order at any cost. She will go to any measures to keep her ward under her thumb and Mc Murphy will go to any measures to make the patients realise that they do not need the security of the hospital or the evil mother Miss Randel looking over them, he teaches them that they can survive on the outside

Timbuktu Paul Auster

Timbuktu is an endearing story about MR Bones a dog who has to deal with the trauma of losing his owner Willy. Throughout the book Mr. Bones enlightens us about the struggles that his owner Willy had to put up with throughout is life as Willy sees Mr. Bones as a benefactor to his dreams, fears and madness. Mr. Bones experiences different ways of living he experienced being out on the streets with Willy, and secure in a house where he is cared for but tied up and it makes you think maybe it is better to not have much and be free.

Beloved Toni Morrison

This is the second Novel in which I have read from Toni Morrison, the first being Sula, which I loved. And I was not disappointed. A chilling, gripping novel that illustrates the struggle involved in being tied to slavery . The Book shows how people react to the terrible things that happen, to them and how one sin, can me another. The book is all about freedom and the freedom of choice, even to the extremes of killing young life. The book without giving too much away makes you wonder who was in is wrong for their deadly actions if they are drove to it by others.

You will never forget your dreams

As its the beginning of the year it got me thinking back of who I am now and who I have been and realised that no matter how you change you always remember your dreams and they always have an impact on your life. Every dream has an imprint on your owns self whether it was a dream that succeeded or a dream that failed, I suppose it is what makes you grow.

My name is Hazel May, and I have had a lot of dreams throughout my life from the dream of being a bus driver when I was three to the dream of being a rock star now. My problem is that I have to many dreams and to many interests that I put my all into each, however this makes it hard to focus on one. I like to sing, play music, write, read, web development, web design, photography see way too many things. But I feel that these are the little things that make me, me and I'm to stubborn to give up any of them so I decided to start a blog and write about the dreams and interests that I have and to hopefully get some thoughts flowing which will hopefully help me succeed.
